Therapy is a journey worth taking and worth completing. Part of the journey is recognizing that there is a problem and getting the appropriate help for it. As with many things in life, there is sacrifice involved. I would ask anyone considering therapy to search deeply within themselves as to how committed they are to seeking help.
If you have a wound that requires the medical attention of a doctor, requires x-rays, requires stitches and a cast; would you ask for a bandage strip and be on your way? No way! First and foremost you would get all the medical attention you need and then move on to heal properly. The same level of commitment to therapy is required in order to heal. Do not allow yourself to be discouraged by the sacrifice therapy requires.
